Jireh Industrial Services

3 of 4: Wireframes

The Client
Jireh Industrial Services (JIS) has an enviable position in the construction world where they operate. Through the excellent service they provide, they’ve established a reputation of respect and reliability for themselves, and they’re currently transitioning to a women-owned and women-led organization. Things are being passed to the next generation, and they needed their digital tools to more fully represent who they are, the quality of their work, and the direction they’re moving in.

Not only is the women-led nature of JIS impressive in such a male-dominated industry, it’s notable that their approach isn’t that of “female pirates” trying to conquer anything. They’re simply bringing community, inclusion, and heart to the strength and reliability their industry demands. These are not mutually exclusive traits, and JIS is proving that.

Project Objective
Evolve their web presence so it aligns with best practices and helps facilitate sales, and evolve their branding so it reaches the high standards of the services they provide.

UX Foundation

This is where everything starts to take shape for the JIS website. By the time I reached this stage of the project, the research and interviews had made the priorities crystal clear. I knew who we were designing for, what users needed when they arrived, and what JIS required the site to accomplish for their business. The wireframes translated that understanding into a functional skeleton that everything else would be built upon. Layout decisions, section order, and interaction patterns were mapped to make the content clear, the navigation intuitive, and the user journey free of friction.

Once this foundation was decided, the visual design phase could focus entirely on aesthetics, but we’re not there just yet.

Home Page

The home page is almost always the last wireframe I create, because it’s a summation of the entire site that’s been designed. On it, the brand is introduced, patterns are established, the major service lines are presented, and users are directed into relevant paths, but so much of that is dependent on the rest of the site’s structure.

That said, what you see below is the completed home page wireframe that came together once everything else had been mapped. It captures the core narrative of JIS, sets expectations, and provides a clear entry point to the site’s content.

Trench Drain Installation

This page needed to transform a highly technical service into something easy to understand, while still inspiring confidence. Even before the final content was written, the wireframe made clear how the page would guide users from problem recognition to trust-building to action. Each step was separated so visitors could quickly scan through and see that JIS had the expertise they needed.

Team Page

This “About” page brings the heart of JIS to the forefront. As a family-owned and woman-led company, their strength isn’t just in the services they provide, it’s in the people who show up every day to do the work. The team page had to communicate credibility, personality, and genuine connection all at once.

To strike that balance, each team member is presented with two photos: a professional portrait and a lighter, more playful image that appears when the photo is hovered over. This subtle interaction communicates something essential about the culture of JIS. They’re serious about their work, but they’re approachable, grounded, and human. It also reinforces their message of long-term partnership; clients aren’t hiring a faceless company, they’re working with real people they can trust.

Client Testimonial

We were overwhelmed by the prospect of redesigning our website, but when Ryan and Shea got involved, they were a breath of fresh air. They carefully walked us through the process of our website overhaul and made every step along the way very clear.

They created customer profiles, custom color schemes, and our new web pages in phases that were easy to review and fun to participate in. When we saw their final website designs, we were so delighted! They are talented, wonderful to work with, and truly understand how to sift through the mayhem to create beauty.
